It Wasn’t Me

Sometimes when you are a small child, this is your best defense.

It wasn’t me.

I didn’t do it.

Somewhere along the road of life these thoughts and phrases turn from defenses to regrets.

It wasn’t me.

I didn’t do it.

It wasn’t me that succeeded.

It wasn’t me who went where I wanted to go.

It wasn’t me that accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.

I didn’t do what I really wanted to do.

Wouldn’t it be a shame if we never realized these defenses and excuses would soon turn to regrets?

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we identified these defenses as regrets early on while we still have time to turn them into opportunities instead of regrets?

The best time might have been 10 years ago. The best time might have been 5 years ago. The best time might have been last year. The best time might have been this year.

The truest best time is right now.
